
Ah, the ever-brilliant Neal Gabler. Today on Fox News Watch, one of the topics was the media propaganda war, and who was winning – and why?
The segment began with a piece from Rumsfeld’s speech to the Council on Foreign Relations from Feb. 17th about that very subject, on whether or not we were winning that media war.
Neal: Pointing out a contradiction he sees “…one the one hand, he seems to be promoting the idea of American propaganda; that we ought to go out there and propagandize (Cal makes a face, seen below) just the way that Al Qaeda is doing. And frankly, you know, this Administration doesn’t have that much credibility when it comes to putting anything out there, much less propaganda.â€

The discussion continued…
Cal: “It’s not just the Al Qaeda types with their almost universal message and their censorship of other information. It’s also Western press. I watch a lot of the BBC, especially when I’m in the U.K. I don’t even recognize my own country. They almost always take the side of not only the political left, but the Palestinians in the Middle East – the Arab side – they go out of their way not to give the Israeli side. And so I think it’s more than just the Arab world. I think there’s a lot of media in Europe, in the U.K., that is hostile to all things American…”
